Blueberry Oat Smoothie
Frozen blueberries, rolled oats and Greek yogurt: like a bowl of blueberry oatmeal you can drink.
- 5 min prep
- 1 smoothie (about 14 oz)
- 5 ingredients

Blending the oats with the milk first keeps the smoothie smooth. It thickens as it stands, so drink it within a few minutes or keep extra milk on hand.
Wild blueberries are smaller and stronger in color and taste, but regular frozen blueberries work just as well.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (about 140 g) frozen blueberries
- ¼ cup (about 20 g) rolled oats
- ½ cup (about 115 g) plain Greek yogurt
- ¾ cup (180 ml) milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
- Blend the oats with the milk for about 20 seconds.
- Add the frozen blueberries, Greek yogurt and vanilla. Blend for 45–60 seconds, until smooth.
- Add a splash of milk if it's too thick. Pour and drink right away.
Tips for the best texture
- For an even smoother texture, soak the oats in the milk for 5–10 minutes, or overnight in the fridge.
- A pinch of cinnamon goes well with blueberries and oats.
- Too tart? Add half a ripe banana or a teaspoon of honey.
